Crazy Creatures Gruner Veltliner, Kremstal, Austria, 100% Gruner Veltliner, unoaked The brainchild of Michael Malat, the grapes for "Crazy Creatures" are grown in the small Austrian village of Palt, in the wine-growing region of Kremstal. The traditional Malat winery has been making wines in the region since 1722. A favourite among sommeliers and wine enthusiasts alike, Grüner Veltliner is the most important grape of Austria and is known for its spicy, herbal and fruity aromas and a crisp, fresh acidity. This Gruner has notes of whole grain cookies, dried barley, hazelnut flour, and baking spices lead the aromas and flavours on the forefront, followed by tart lemon and spice. Its soft texture yet zippy acidity add up to a wine that’s entirely enjoyable. A white wine that goes remarkably well with a great many dishes. NOTE. 3 RANDOM LABEL DESIGNS.

Aromas of red plums and blackberries dominate, nuanced with methol notes, cloves and sweet spices like cinnamon and cocoa. wine is underpinned by a smooth, sleek texture and fine tannins.

Bumbu Rum is based on a recipe dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, used by pirates and merchants as a better-tasting alternative to the grog the Royal Navy served its men. This modern interpretation takes sugarcane from eight Caribbean countries before distilling at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. The rum is matured in former bourbon casks for up to fifteen years and blended with all natural native Caribbean spices and pure Bajan water filtered through the coral limestone rocks of the island. No artificial flavours or colours are added. On the nose, aromas of banana are prominent, with cinnamon and vanilla sweetness. To taste, the mature rum and natural spices bring a rich complexity. Sweet and smooth, a big hit of vanilla is followed by orange peel, banana and mango. Subtle fresh herbal notes and a touch of dry tobacco come through with the spices making this an excellent spiced sipper.

NEW STRENGTH 43% Originally made by the French Carthusian monks, Yellow Chartreuse is an aromatic and botanical-led liqueur with a distinctive and herbal taste. 130 hand selected herbs are combined to create the exceptional flavour of Yellow Chartreuse and the liqueur is then aged in oak barrels to create a distinctive woody flavour. Honey is added to create a sweeter flavour and its lower proof and lighter on the palate when compared to its green compatriot. Wonderful before or after dinner.

Intense red fruit aromas are offset by delicate notes of vanilla and chocolate. Pleasantly lingering with a fresh, vibrant feel in the mouth.

Briottet Crème de Châtaigne is an exceptionally creamy and smooth liqueur which allows you to enjoy the delicious flavour of chestnut in a range of ways. Beautifully reflecting both the fresh and roasted chestnut flavours, Briottet Crème de Châtaigne is a wonderful accompaniment to vanilla ice cream or even for giving your favourite white wine a twist. Drier white wines work wonderfully with this liqueur.

KEFALONIA.....A bone-dry and intriguing wine with a heady mix of iodine, peaty aromas, exotic fresh fruit, melon and dried pear. Mouth-wateringly fresh on the palate with plenty of tension on the long finish. Vinified following a philosophy of minimal intervention. A cool pre-fermentation maceration lasted for eight to 10 hours to extract aromas and flavours. The free run musts and pressed musts were fermented separately with wild yeasts at controlled temperatures before spending one month on the fine lees with periodical stirring to impart texture and complexity. The wine was gently filtered prior to being bottled. The bottle was then submerged UNDER FRESH WATER, in special tanks in the winery. This new method of maturation promotes constant temperatures, darkness and lack of oxygen, resulting in an aromatic wine, with a pure fruit character. 91 points Robert Parker
