Everything from its name to its production has a Dutch feel and it has an aromatised flavour which unique and stands out from other bitters on the market with deep nutmeg, ginger and laurel notes coming through from the first taste. The exact recipe is a secret but it offers an aperitif which balances sharpness with a biting bitterness and sweet undertones.

Nose - Sweet and spicy notes of fig, cinnamon and peppercorn transcend into a deep, rich chocolate cherry liqueur. Palate - Sweet brown sugar and notes of chocolate fade to reveal a burst of red cherry. Finish - Fresh green peppercorns linger, with a slight acidity underlined with a tannic, lip drying influence. Staff Thought Some kind of aromatic spice on the nose, maybe coriander seeds or fenugreek. Fairly dry, maybe cranberry on the palate.

Mastiha is a fascinating liqueur created in Greece using the resin of the rare mastiha tree grown on the Greek island of Chios. It's not often seen, but when you do, it's always worth a look. This particular expression is Kleos Mastiha, produced by master distiller Maroussa Tsaxaki using the mastiha tears (the hardened resin) and mastiha essential oils. The name comes from a Greek word meaning “fame or glory attained through good deeds and hard work” - which is clearly an admirable thing to aspire to!

A classic liqueur Kummel is a refreshing and sweet smelling drink which is packed full of flavour. Syrupy in the mouth, each sip is full-bodied and fiery, with pronounced notes of caraway, aniseed and hints of citrus and fresh peppermint. The heat gives way to a sugary sweetness which is very welcome and blends wonderfully with the deeper, spicier notes. Caraway and aniseed linger on considerably after drinking.
An artisinal mezcal from folks at Ojo de Dios, made from Espadin agave. The agave is roasted for around 10 days to create a delicate, smoky flavour that beautifully complements notes of plum, toasted pineapple and apricot.

On the nose it’s the nuttiness that comes through first followed by berry fruits and malts and even a faint hint of porridge. The flavour is softer, gentle with sweet honey, aniseed and an elegant toffee richness. An earthy finish is the perfect end note.
Produced in Oaxaca, Ilegal Joven is a young Mezcal which has the distinctive flavour of roasted agave and earthy tones which help it stand out from the crowd. Its aroma are fresh and youthful, with fresh flowers, peppermint and tobacco notes all coming through. It has a complex herbal character which is softened by caramel and raisin flavours and spiced up with black pepper heat. It ends with the floral notes at the forefront.

One of Michter's most limited produced whiskies. Michter’s 10 year old single barrel Kentucky straight rye continues the legacy of America’s first whiskey variety (rye) company (Michter’s, originally known as Shenk’s).

A solid and spicy rye made to the Michter's recipe, although not distilled at the now closed Schaefferstown distillery. Nonetheless, Michter's is a name with a certain cult cachet in American whiskey circles, and we reckon this will be a big hit over here.
