Its flavour perfectly embodies the rum from the Oriente of Cuba (the south east of the island): smooth, fruity and rich. Every bottle of Ron Santiago de Cuba is certified by the DOP (Denominación de Origen Protegida) meaning production, bottling and 100% of sugarcane is from Cuba. Here we have a three-year-old rum from Ron Viejo de Caldas, which is a Colombian producer that’s garnered a considerable international reputation. This rum has been entirely matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Sip it neat, or make it part of a cocktail.

 A truly exceptional Guatamalan rum, Zacapa Centenario XO is a premium offering which doesn’t disappoint when it comes to flavour. Beautifully delicate, the flavour of Zacapa Centenario XO is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks which together deliver a flavour which is exceptionally sweet and sugary, without being sickly. The softness on the palate of this mature rum is surprising and very welcome, with only a hint of smoke coming through in the finish.

An incredible rum – winner of a Platinum medal and ranked in First Place by the prestigious Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago, with a whopping 97 points. Interestingly, now that industry giants Diageo are distributing Zacapa, the '23 years old' age statement has suddenly been dropped and replaced with a somewhat more plausible claim – the rums used are aged between 6 and 23 years old and are blended together in a solera.

Santa Theresa 1796 was released in 1996 and has had huge success and enjoyment since this date, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Santa Theresa’s foundation. With bronze amber hues and an aroma rich in honey, sherry and bitter Brazil nuts, Santa Theresa is dry on the palate and wonderfully mellow. Chocolate and vanilla notes are released as you enjoy each sip and it ends on a satisfying and rounded buttery note.

Full bodied and packed with deep brown sugar notes, Skipper is a molasses-based rum which brings together seven different individual rums. Its deep mahogany hues hides a brawny, bittersweet flavour which is burnt on the palate and features crème brulee notes. Raisins, vanilla and hot clove spice come through strongly and it has a real strength of character which helps it stand out and gives it all the characteristics of a quality navy-style rum.

One of the rare 100% pot still rums out there, Smith & Cross is a Jamaican favourite which allows tropical fruity flavours to define its character. A hit of pineapple is your first hint at the flavours within and the nose develops with further spicier notes of clove, pepper and intriguing hot chilli. On tasting you’ll enjoy a warm, buttery opening which bursts into a fiery chilli-based heat, peppered with cinnamon and clove. This heat is tempered by balancing vanilla and muscovado sugar notes, bringing Smith & Cross to a mellower end note.

It was made to be the perfect rum in a Daiquiri, and with its oodles of tropical fruit flavours, we'd absolutely have to agree... Heaps of tropical fruit here, with pineapple and passion fruit at the helm, a dusting of cinnamon, brown sugar and pink peppercorn. Hints of oak and zesty citrus appear.

A very high-strength overproof pot-distilled molasses rum from Mauritius, Tilambic is aged for up to seven years. The 151 represents the strength in US proof, which means that this rum is 75.5% abv and as such should be used extremely carefully and not ingested neat.

Replacing the Westerhall Plantation Rum (Westerhall's range underwent a redesign in mid-2016), Westerhall Rum No.5 is a great base for all manner of fruity rum cocktails. Creamy, caramel-led palate. Notes of allspice, Black Forest honey, a hint of fruit and custard.

A classic Demerara Navy style rum produced in Guyana, Wood’s 100 blends together a range of young rums. Both pot still and continuously distilled rums make their way into the mix and it’s a distinct flavour that’s often used in tiki-style cocktails. Prunes, caramel and sweet toffee are the first aromas released on opening and they’re soon joined by nutmeg and cinnamon spiciness. Don Q Gold is produced in Puerto Rico using a multiple distillation technique, and is allowed to age in American oak barrels before it's bottled. A good choice for sipping neat or splashing in a cocktail.

From the pristine lagoons to the lush jungles, Plantation Isle of Fiji is an ode to the beauty of the Fiji Islands and beautiful they are too! This delicious rum is made using traditional techniques and local Fijian sugar cane. First aged in this tropical climate in bourbon casks, the rum is then sailed to the southwest of France for a second maturation in French oak casks. This double ageing method paired with Fijian know-how creates a rum with warm notes of exotic fruits and raisin.

A 2010-vintage Venezuelan rum from Plantation that was first matured for eight years in ex-bourbon barrels in Destiloeria Sofa's cellars. The barrels then made the sea voyage to Javrezac, in France's Charente region, where the rum spent a further four years in Ferrand French oak casks. Aromas of nutmeg, honey, vanilla, mandarin, coconut, Brazil nuts, coffee and sweet flowers fill the nose, complemented by notes of spicy oak, peanuts, tobacco, almond, black pepper, creme brulee, pineapple, dried banana and hazelnut throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.

This is the 24th release in the single vintage Exceptional Cask Selection from legendary Barbados distillery Foursquare. Rhum Clement was founded by Homere Clement in 1887 in Martinique, a small Caribbean island which has a unique terrior and the perfect tropical climate and humidity for producing rhum. It is the only French Caribbean island to have an AOC appellation, which they recieved in 1996.

The bouquet shows pungent, oak shavings, cinnamon and nutmeg with dried fruit, caramel and toffee apple. The palate is bitter cider apple, dried fruit, cut grass, woody tannins and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper) with figs, fruit cake, mocha coffee and cocoa. The finish shows dry woody tannins and spice.onds.

A dark dark rum from St Lucia, made by blending together 3-year-old column-still rum and 6-year-old pot-still rum, all aged in ex-bourbon casks. It combines the fresher and more citrusy character of the younger rum, with rich, brown sugar notes, toffee and tobacco from the older. A well-rounded and easy drinking dark rum.
