The Kyoto Distillery, the city's first dedicated gin maker, has fast become recognised for its fastidious attention to detail. Its second release, Ki No Tea, has been meticulously created to the same exacting standards. The limited edition expression is the result of a partnership with noted tea grower and blender Hori-Shichimeien, which was founded just to the south of Kyoto in 1879. Dried lavender is added to the still with the botanicals that create our base gin. The distillate has these soft lavender overtones in a crystal-clear liquid which is perfect at 40% ABV.
Inspired by the attitude and style associated with Hoxton, East London, this gin was produced by London-based nightlife entrepreneur and mixologist Gerry Calabrese in a local micro-distillery. Only ethically sourced botanicals, such as bergamot, chamomile, elderflower, grapefruit, gunpowder tea, hibiscus sugar, juniper, liquorice, orris and rose hip were used for the Hoxton's Pink's recipe.
