Despite the name, its flavour is not bitter at all, with the strong aromatic flavour, powerful with gentian and spices. Many cocktails simply wouldn’t be the same without a dash or two of Angostura bitters and it’s the complex herbaceous nature of the product which allows it to offer additional depth and dimension to cocktails.
Another market leading cognac, Hennessy’s rich and full-bodied flavours strike a special balance which makes it so popular. Bright and fruity from first opening, Hennessy also has undertones of oak and once in the mouth flavours of nutty grilled almonds and a hint of fresh grapes are released. Tones of red berries and vanilla follow and ageing of a minimum of 2 years helps bolster the intense smoothness of the drink.
