There's a healthy dose of oak too that straddles the line but never quite takes over. Surprising freshness, with welcome acidity. This is solid. Seductive and intense nose. Aromas of red plums and blackberries dominate, nuanced with methol notes, cloves and sweet spices like cinnamon and cocoa. wine is underpinned by a smooth, sleek texture and fine tannins.
