Wild Turkey 101 has been aged for eight years at a much higher proof than they’re traditional bourbon. This delivers a more intense, alcohol-heavy nose but also a deeper, more complex flavour. Pepper, caramel and honey are stand out flavours in this intense bourbon and it’s certainly one to remember.
The legendary flavour of Wild Turkey bourbon has been brought out in a new and exciting style with the addition of the sweetest honey. The smoothness is even silkier than before if you can believe it and though we recommend drinking it neat, you could pop it into a creative cocktail. An interesting twist on Woodford Reserve's classic straight bourbon. The whiskey is first matured in new charred white oak barrels, as usual, but before bottling is transferred to special heavily toasted, lightly charred finishing barrel. This gives it quite a different flavour to normal, with lots of spicy oak coming through on the palate.

It's not quite a bourbon, as it was distilled to a higher strength than allowed for bourbon (which is 160 proof, or 80% ABV), and matured in used charred white oak bourbon barrels (rather than brand new ones).

It’s an effort of uniting a master blender and a distiller from two different worlds.
It began with Fred distilling the bourbon in Kentucky. Shinji visited Kentucky to taste the barrels throughout the aging process. Once the whiskeys were ready to be blended, Shinji stepped in with his blending expertise..
